About Us

Tree Logo Lyrup Primary is a small Riverland school located south of the River Murray between Berri and Renmark. It is easily accessible by ferry or bridge.

The school’s motto, Education in a Caring, Supportive Environment is reflected in school policies and practices, with a strong emphasis on individual student needs.

Key curriculum areas include science & technology, numeracy and literacy, and student wellbeing, with specific emphasis on Primary Connections and Child Protection curricula and Accelerated Literacy. Current priorities include literacy teaching and programs; evaluation and review of feedback effectiveness; maths; students at risk and intervention programs.

Students and staff enjoy a range of study and recreational areas and resources including a separate library area, classrooms with wet areas, interactive whiteboards and computer pods, a withdrawal room and a well equipped multi-use tech/art/cooking/science area.

Excellent grounds include an oval, large concreted play area, two playgrounds, sandpit, sensory garden and a school vegetable garden.

Small classes, an active governing council and open access for parents ensure close relationships with students and families.
